Joe Exotic — born Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage — dedicated over two decades of his life to rescuing animals no one else wanted. He built the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in memory of his late brother Garold.

Known for his vibrant personality and big heart, Joe gave hundreds of animals a second chance at life and entertained millions with his humor and compassion.

Fame came suddenly - and with it, enemies, lawsuits and betrayal. What the cameras didn’t show were the years of hard work, the community he built, and the passion that fueled him.
